My Autism Connection
Who: Group Members: 18-50 yrs. old. with a documented diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder; Aspergers Syndrome or high-functioning autism. Meetings for skill building lessons to include social interactions are held continuously throughout the month. Our PEERS® program is held when school is in session and is for motivated teens who would essentially like to learn how to make friends and keep them.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for individuals with Asperger’s and High Functioning Autism within the Autism Spectrum Disorder to develop skills towards independence in the community while building healthy relationships.
Our vision is to assist individuals with Asperger’s and High-Functioning Autism through building friendships through social interaction while developing skills that promote productivity, employment and independence within the community. Through collaboration with federal and state agencies we envision our services to grow and facilitate workshops to broaden awareness nationwide.
