The Mission of the Jewish Federation of Collier County, is to provide and support philanthropic, educational and social service programs that promote such Jewish values as Tzedakah (benevolence), Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and K'lal Yisrael (taking responsibility for one another), in order to strengthen and enrich the Jewish community locally, in Israel and throughout the world. Federation dollars help provide emergency cash assistance and food programs (food pantry / food bank), low-income housing. The Federations are building humanitarian networks in providing a complete system of senior care. That includes services that let the elderly stay in their homes, adult day care, Meals-on-Wheels and respite care; assisted living and skilled nursing care all the way through to acute medical and end-of-life care. The Federation community is working with new and existing partners to provide long-term solutions. That includes educational programs and scholarship opportunities; job training and retraining; and new business loans. We're also working to extend the school day to free time for parents with children to take advantage of these opportunities.
