Healthy Start is dedicated to improving the health of pregnant women and babies. Main goals are to: Reduce the number of low birth weight babies, and to improve health and developmental outcomes. Health care referrals and education to improve pregnancy and postpartum outcome for mothers and babies at risk. Services include home visiting and education for at risk pregnant women and families with children up to age 3, phone follow up and referrals to community agencies as well as assistance with access to resources. Fees or Payment - None.
