Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida
The Area Agency on Aging is responsible for the planning, coordination and oversight of the delivery of the following programs: Home and Community Based Services, Community Care for the Elderly, Home Care for the Elderly, Alzheimer's Disease Initiative, Older Americans Act, Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly, and Serving Health Insurance Needs of the Elderly.
AAASWFL also provides direct services, including the Elder Helpline, SHINE Medicare Counseling, Health & Wellness workshops, and Elder Abuse Prevention Education.
